Records Management and eDiscovery Preparedness for the Mid- to Smaller-Sized Business
Records management and eDiscovery preparedness is not a one-size fits all proposition. Solutions that may work for a Fortune 500 company likely will not be appropriate for a mid- to smaller-sized company which faces its own, unique challenges when addressing these issues. The development and implementation of records management programs and eDiscovery response plans must take into account these company’s more limited budgets and smaller in-house legal and IT/IS departments. This presentation will focus on providing practical, proven advice to help mid- to smaller-sized companies minimize compliance and litigation risks as wel as reduce eDiscovery costs.

Adaptive Planning Workshop for Finance hosted by PLA
This hands-on session will provide you with individual access to an expert trainer who will review the Adaptive Planning application in detail and answer your specific questions as you learn how to utilize the solution to support your company's own planning and reporting needs.
As you know, today's dynamic business environment makes timely and accurate budgeting, forecasting, and "what-if" analysis absolutely essential. Fortunately, it's now easier than ever to move away from spreadsheets and automate your companywide planning, reporting, and analysis.
In this unique event, you will see for yourself how easy it can be to reduce overall planning time (from months to weeks), eliminate errors, and get everyone in the organization aligned around the appropriate goals and numbers.

CAMP IT Conferences – Business Intelligence and Analytics Seminar
How to Get Through the Barriers that Impact BI Adoption and Pitfalls to Avoid Along the Way
Andrew Grohe, Partner and Technical Specialist, Project Leadership Associates

As organizations continue to shift from “survival” to “strategic” mode, executives are looking for new ways to impact revenue and grow their business. One critical element is to build a “visual landscape” of their financial environment with Business Intelligence, business analytics, performance management and data governance to provide a single version of the truth.

Research shows that labor is undoubtedly the most expensive element of deploying a Business Intelligence solution. However, organizations can often save money and lower the total cost of their BI solution by evaluating Open Source Business Intelligence (OSBI) as an alternative to traditional BI platforms. OSBI has seen a significant increase in deployment within corporate IT departments. This session will explore the reasons behind this trend, what you can expect to get from OSBI software, and challenges to implementing an OSBI platform.

"Predictive/Suggestive" Coding and Machine-Assisted Review
Even with advances in e-Discovery tool-sets, today's discovery efforts are still highly dependent on human interaction and the errors that go with it. However, a new technology has arrived that may change this paradigm forever and allow legal teams to use legal expertise, case facts and subject matter knowledge to "automate" large parts of review. In this course, we show how to leverage assisted review technology and work-flows to slash cost and meet tight deadlines. We will examine current standards of and myths surrounding document review (including attendant errors and costs), as well as how an iterative process can remedy many problems associated with common keyword searching techniques. We will also explore arguments against the use of this technology and how these arguments might potentially be overcome in a meet-and-confer or court hearing setting.

Strategy and Strategy Execution - Drive earnings through the execution of your strategy
During this roundtable, we will discuss the following key factors to growing earnings through strategy execution.

Clarity of strategy. Is the strategy complete, well-constructed, understood in the organization? Does it indicate the Leadership Team is playing to win, or playing not to lose?

Initiatives and prioritization. Of all of the activities we are considering or undertaking, which will 'move the needle' with respect to strategy and measurable results for the business?

Alignment of the leadership team and organization. How can you as CEO make sure that your key leaders are truly on the same page regarding the why, what and how of your strategy? Tales from the Field: SharePoint Governance Best Practices
You already know that SharePoint is a powerful and effective tool that increases collaboration and communication across an organization. It empowers users to create their own workspace solutions for collaborative projects and groups.

However, you may not be familiar with the term "Governance" and how it relates to SharePoint. Maybe you've heard about "Governance" - the fact that you need "People" to define "Policies", but what "Processes" are actually required to bring this to fruition? We will introduce the three P's and the business requirements that drive governance. Without proper governance, a SharePoint deployment can become unmanageable, unstable and discourages users from adopting the platform. Developing a SharePoint governance plan is key to the success of any SharePoint implementation.

Jeremy and Dave will also cover common issues found in the field today by Project Leadership Associates and AvePoint's customers, so that you can watch out for these and mitigate them in the future.
