Rather than installing software from traditional media such as CD-ROM one workstation at a time, software can be pushed out to systems from a managed workstation or server. This allows installations to occur on multiple workstations at the same time and removes the need to physically visit each desk. This approach can be applied to everything from installing a single application to migrate an entire organization from one platform to another.
